make OM expose its entities for browsing via REST endpoints

• defaults to only entities marked PUBLIC, though user may set a preference to show all?
• lets one specify an entity id in the rest endpoint, but if no parameter it shows the default entity if that is public, error message if it is not. ?
• and, can this same function also work well for browsing the entity w/ a browser, or at least publishing/referring someone to info, short of a generated "site"?
• once the copying/synch/replication is in place (to a public site), can this browsing capability replace the web site, or largely so?
